據臺灣TVBS新聞網3月3日報道，有消息稱解放軍3艘軍艦於2日晚間10時後出現在蘭嶼東南方50海裏處。對此，TVBS新聞網向臺軍詢問，臺海軍官員聲稱「全程掌握」。
報道援引臺灣「中央社」報道，解放軍所屬3艘軍艦於2日晚間10時後，出現在蘭嶼東南方50海裏處，而3日則持續往外移動，上午8時許位於距蘭嶼東南方80海裏海面，經分析是進入巴士海峽。
